In short: The To-do drawer in the Calendar module is a collapsible pane that displays your assigned Timebook objects. It allows you to organize and schedule work directly by dragging and dropping objects onto the calendar grid. You can customize the data in the drawer's view using grouping and sorting options to suit your workflow needs.
The To-do drawer, located to the right of the Calendar grid, is a collapsible pane designed to help schedule Timebook objects assigned to you within the Calendar module. Use the [Show drawer / Hide drawer] button to toggle the drawer open or closed, adjusting your view based on your workflow needs:
Keep the drawer open to prioritize your work by sorting objects assigned to you by importance or urgency
Collapse the drawer to create more space for your calendar and simplify long-term planning.
The To-do drawer shows only these objects which are currently assigned to you. This way, you can concentrate solely on tasks relevant to your responsibilities.
Timebook objects stay in the To-do drawer until their status is set to Done, so you’ll always have a clear view of unfinished work. This helps you stay organized and aware of tasks requiring your attention.
The To-do drawer offers flexible options for managing and organizing your work, helping you focus on what matters most. Whether you’re prioritizing tasks by urgency, importance, or other criteria, the To-do drawer adapts to your workflow.
You can combine the [Group by], [Sort by], and [Order] options to tailor how the drawer displays its contents, helping you adapt to different scenarios. These data management options are available in the [Manage view] section, which you can access via the dedicated button at the top of the drawer.
We have a dedicated article about data management in Timebook that explains the concepts of grouping, sorting, and ordering.

The biggest benefit of keeping your To-do drawer open is that scheduling your work becomes super easy. It’s all about drag-and-dropping the objects assigned to you onto specific slots in your calendar. When you do this, the objects are instantly updated with start and end dates that match the time slot you selected.
To schedule work directly on the calendar grid:
Find a suitable slot on the calendar grid.
Drag an object from the drawer directly onto the selected slot.
Your work is now scheduled for the selected time. You can move the object’s card on the grid to reschedule it or drag its lower edge to change its duration.
Using this method, you can schedule a Timebook object multiple times.
This is particularly useful for time-intensive tasks, as it enables you to break them into manageable chunks across several dedicated time slots.
You can also create directly in the drawer. Use the [+] button at the top of the list to initiate the creation process. You can then edit the name, description, and several other key properties of your new Work Item. For more information, see
