Use the pane on the left to move between Timebook modules.
Navigate Timebook
In Timebook, the pane on the left is what we call the Navigator. It's there to make your life easier when moving between different Timebook modules. The Navigator is collapsible, so you can hide it and focus on your work in full-width view.
This is what you can find in the Navigator, going from top to bottom:
Workplace Menu, global search, and recents
You can access the Workplace Menu by using the dropdown next to your Workplace's name. This is your gateway to all Timebook settings and personalization options. For more information, see Workplace Menu
You can also find dedicated icons for the global search and recently visited locations in the same area. These features will help you browse Timebook content and navigate it with less effort. For more information, see Search & recents
Fast create
You can also use the [Fast create] button to create the most common Timebook objects instantly. This button, marked with [+], is located in the top-right corner of the Navigator. Press it and choose the object you want to create:
Just below your Workplace's name are several tiles that you can use to access your personal content in Timebook. Use the tiles to jump to the following modules:
[Calendar] helps you schedule your time and share your availability with others. It also has a drawer that makes work scheduling easy. For more information, see Boost your Calendar
[My Work] is where you can find all the work-related content that is relevant to you. Although Timebook is primarily a team collaboration platform, you should have one central place to focus on what's most important to you. For more information, see My Work
[Notifications] is the module where you can view and manage invitations, reminders, and system information in one place. For more information, see Notifications
[Bookmarks] help you save your favorite Timebook content for future reference. Use this module to find and manage all items you bookmarked across Timebook. For more information, see Bookmarks & pins
Pinned items
When you use a particular Timebook item frequently or return to a specific location regularly, it might be a good idea to stick it to the Navigator.
Most Timebook objects have a characteristic pin icon in the top-right corner. Use it to add the object to the [Pinned items] section of the Navigator for easier access in the future. For more information, see Bookmarks & pins
NOTE: The [Pinned items] section will only show in the Navigator after you pin your first item.
Workplace and Teams
The middle part of the Navigator shows the Timebook Workplace you are a member of. The [Workplace] area contains several sections to view your organization's high-level aspects, such as Roadmaps or Wikis. For more information on Workplace features, see Workplace: Build an organization
Below that, you will find the area showing all the Timebook Teams you joined. You can use the [Teams] area to jump between locations in different Teams without losing your focus. For more information on Tem features, see Team: Manage people & work
Template Center and Help and Support
The icon for [Template Center] is at the bottom of the Navigator. You can use this module to manage documentation with less effort as you create using preconfigured templates. For more information, see Template Center
You can also find the dedicated icon for [Help and Support] in the same area. This module helps you find relevant Timebook information, report an issue, or provide feedback. For more information, see Help & support
You can use the Navigator and your keyboard to open a Timebook module in a new tab:
On Windows, hold the [Control] key and press on a Navigator element with the [left mouse key].
On Mac, hold the [Command] key and press on a Navigator element with the [left mouse key].
Working area
The remaining part of the screen to the right of the Navigator displays your working area. Here, you can see the actual contents of all Timebook modules. In some cases, you might also see an additional middle pane that provides more navigation options in certain modules, like a list of pages in a Wiki or a list of contacts.
Certain elements offer additional navigation in the top part of the working area. For example, if you open one item from a list, you can use the [<-] icon to return to the list view, or you can switch between available tabs.
With the Navigator and the working area, you navigate Timebook using the left side of the screen, and you do the actual work on the right. This combination should allow you to change the context of your work with minimal effort and stay focused on getting things done.
